Data on air quality (e.g. levels of major pollutants) on a granular basis - that is at least broken down by month (preferably by day). Geographic breakdown (e.g. by grid point) would be nice but is not required.

Comments

The data about Sheffield air quality is typical of what can go wrong when the focus goes away from doing the job and into communicating about it instead. The data is supposed to be available through the "Sheffield air map" (https://www.sheffieldairmap.org); it isn't.

The site has all the communication that an exciting, expensive project making public data available to all deserves. It states the "Sheffield Air Map (SAM) is the first of its kind"; only one thing is wrong: the actual air quality data is not available. Attempting to obtain the data leads to an inaccessible server. In that regard, I hope it is the last of its kind.

At the same time, while the presentation is interesting, the background data is not available, so while as a member of the public I can use a map to see how data is monitored, I can't get to the actual data to download or reuse it, and I have no means of finding out whether and what I can use again.

I hope this can be set right, because it appears that the data would be available to the council, and that it had intended to set an example in that area.
